Ayinla is a biographical drama that chronicles the meteoric rise of Ayinla Omowura, a charismatic and fiercely talented Fuji musician who dominates the Nigerian music scene of the 1970s. Gifted but volatile, Ayinla’s success is shaped as much by his raw artistry as by his impulsive temperament, as fame, rivalry, and personal demons increasingly collide. Set against the cultural and political backdrop of post-civil-war Nigeria, the film portrays a man whose brilliance and flaws grow side by side, inevitably placing him on a collision course with those closest to him.
